IT ALL STARTED ...
with a love for travel. Visiting over 60 countries, I developed an appreciation for other cultures, a spirit of adventure, and a curiosity for the unfamiliar. Then I shared these experiences with my students to build an environment of global mindset within my rural elementary school.
To create the Spanish and Global Competency curriculum, I researched instructional methods used in other educational institutions. Also I studied abroad in South America, Cuba, and Guatemala--where I volunteered in a school that served impoverished youth and disadvantaged learners. In Antigua, I recorded native Spanish speakers and implemented my technology skills. Later, I joined CTEPS (Classroom Teachers Enacting Positive Solutions), initiated fundraising campaigns, and began building the instructional resources you see today.
